While Miranda Lambert may have been lying low as of late, the “Vice” singer has returned to the stage with a bang, sharing a new song that she’s been working on, “Locomotive.”

The 35-year-old debuted the song on the stage at Nissan Stadium on Saturday night (June 8), telling the crowd that it was the first time she ever performed the song.

“It’s good to see you Nashville. I miss you,” Miranda shared with the crowd. “I didn’t play last year but I’m damn sure glad to be back this year. I think you’re all badasses for standing in the rain for three days for country music, thank you for that. I’ve been working on some new music and I’ve got one that will make you groove a little. So I’m going to try and do one for you tonight, it’s the very first time I’ve ever sang it in my whole life. Girls you’re especially going to like it, it’s called ‘Locomotive.’

Cause I’m sweet tea sippin’ / On my front porch sittin’ / While my hubby fries chicken and I’m pickin’ these strings / I’ve been down on my luck but I ain’t given up / Gotta a heart like a truck / I’m a humming bird ready to sing / Oh he gives me wings / Oh he gives me wings,” she sings in the chorus.

The uptempo, rockin’ tune has the reigning ACM Female Vocalist of the Year singing about knowing just who she is with lyrics that could be describing the real Miranda—”I’m a little bit more Tennessee with Whiskey in my veins.”

“No one is more excited than me to have something new and show off what I’ve been doing,” Miranda once said about new music.
