Taking place in the beautiful countryside of Napa Valley, Live in the Vineyard has gone country for three days of music and wine tastings. Old Dominion was one of many country acts that made their way to valley to join winemakers and chefs for the annual event.

The inaugural three-day event takes place May 15-17 and features acoustic performances by Hunter Hayes, Old Dominion, Parmalee, Ashley McBryde, Jerrod Niemann, Maddie & Tae, Eric Paslay, Maggie Rose, Lindsay Ell, Mitchell Tenpenny and Cale Dodds. Carrie Underwood is set to headline the event.

While enjoying the California wines, Matt Ramsey, Brad Tursi, Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers and Geoff Sprung, caught up with One Country‘s Kelly Sutton to talk about their shocking ACM win for Vocal Group of the year.

“It was a big award,” said lead singer Matt Ramsey. “It was pretty clear that we weren’t prepared for that. It was insane, it felt like we were kind of floating up there. We’ve been on that size stage before and that size room, but when you’re not performing and you suddenly have to speak in front of something that big, it’s like ‘Whoa, this place is huge. Everyone is waiting to know what I’m going to say.’ Then I opened my mouth and spoke and I don’t know what happened after that.”

However, when you’re in Napa for the Live in the Vineyard event, you of course have to drink some of the valley wine. The guys obliged and shared their favorite types of wine. The consensus was mostly red wines.

Old Dominion is currently on tour with Kenny Chesney as part of his Trip Around the Sun Tour and will continue their Happy Endings tour in the Fall.
