Angaleena Presley is now the proud mom to newborn daughter, Phoenix Joeleena Jean Powell, born on Jan. 22 at 7:49 a.m. The Pistol Annies singer confirmed the news to People Magazine, revealing that her newest bundle of joy weighed in at 7 lbs., 13 oz., and measured 17½ inches in length.
The singer confesses that it wasn’t an easy delivery. Once admitted to the hospital, Phoenix’s heart rate skyrocketed and she was “kicking the crap out of” Angaleena. Her husband, Jordan Powell, decided to calm the baby down with some traditional country music.
“To try and calm her down, Jordan played the Kentucky/Texas combo of a Loretta [Lynn] and Willie [Nelson] duet up against my belly,” the singer tells the publication. “Within 15 seconds, her heart rate dropped to normal and she relaxed. I guess she knew already where her roots were . . . nothing like a piece of home to heal a heart.”
Angaleena’s husband explains that the baby’s name was inspired by several important people in the couple’s life.
“Joeleena is a combination of my friend Tony Joe White, who passed away a few months ago, and ‘Leena,’ which is a family name from Angaleena’s side,” Jordan explains. “Jean is my grandmother’s name. She’s 92 and helped raise me.”

The couple is now a family of four as Phoenix Joeleena Jean Powell joins older brother, Jed. The 12-year-old is Angaleena’s son from a previous marriage.
“I’m so glad to add this strong female to our family,” Angaleena adds. “She is tiny but she is fierce. Jordan and Jed are both by her side and head over heels.”
