Reba McEntire is hard at work on new music. Earlier this week, the singer shared with fans that she’s been in the studio and promises new music is “coming soon.”
On Tuesday (Sept. 18), the country legend shared a series of photos from the studio. In the first image, a pair of headphones is shown on a stool while another shows a glimpse inside the control room’s mixing board with labels that read steel, keys, Reba, mix. A third shot has the country queen herself at the microphone as she sings a track.
“Back at it in the studio #newmusic #comingsoon,” McEntire captions the series of photos on Instagram.
While not much is known about this new project, it will mark the follow-up to McEntire’s 2017 Grammy-winning gospel album Sing It Now.
The singer has been keeping busy throughout 2018. In addition to recording new music and hosting the ACM Awards earlier this year, McEntire is set to return for the second year in a row as host for the upcoming CMA Country Christmas broadcast. The show, which will be taped at Belmont University’s Curb Event Center in Nashville on Sept. 27, will include performances from Brad Paisley, Brett Young, Martina McBride, Tony Bennett, Dan + Shay, Brett Eldredge, Amy Grant, Diana Krall, Dustin Lynch, Old Dominion, Michael W. Smith, Lindsey Stirling, and The Isaacs.
Following the taping for the upcoming television special, McEntire will close out 2018 with Brooks & Dunn in Las Vegas as part of their “Together in Vegas” residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
