It’s only been a little over a month since Sam Hunt announced that he would curate and headline his own Music Festival. Since then, the Nashional Music Festival has announced it’s swift cancellation.

A note posted on the festival website says that “unforeseen circumstances” are the reason for the cancellation.

“Although disappointed to share this news, we hope to find a future date to continue the prospect of a multi-genre, inclusive festival for the city of Nashville.”

The inaugural Nashional Music Festival, was set to take place on April 20-21 and feature a mix of artists from the country, hip-hop, rock and R&B genres. The two-day festival was to be held at Nashville’s Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park and include acts such as Fetty Wap, LANY, Judah & the Lion, Kyle and fellow country acts Brothers Osborne and LANCO.

“I wanted to create an experience at the Nashional that celebrates music, community, and everything they mean to each other and this city,” Sam said when announcing the festival.

Refunds for those that have secured tickets are available at point of purchase.
