In the battle of the country superstars competition, it looks like Blake Shelton takes home the win over Luke Bryan. With two weeks under their belt, Blake Shelton’s “The Voice” has beaten Luke Bryan’s “American Idol” in the ratings war.

The shows face off head-to-head on Monday nights giving viewers a music competition battle. According to Variety.com, “American Idol” saw a 1.6 rating in adults 18-49 with 7.7 million viewers, down 8% from last week.  “The Voice” topped that with a 2.3 rating and 10.7 million viewers for the night, making it the top-rated and most-watched show of the night. The “The Voice” has had the lead in ratings for two weeks in a row.

To combat Blake Shelton and “The Voice’s” popularity, the ABC reboot of “American Idol” went after their own country superstar, choosing Luke Bryan to as one of their judges. But Luke was no match for his buddy Blake, who has had a 7 year head start being a television personality.

On the bright side, we know Blake and Luke will always be friends no matter what happens at work. Their chemistry is undeniable.
