Thomas Rhett and his longtime love, Lauren, are celebrating six years of wedded bliss Friday (Oct. 12). The “Life Changes” singer made sure he was the first to wish his wife a happy anniversary shortly after the clock struck midnight on their special day.
“Happy 6th anniversary babe,” he captions on Instagram with a photo of Lauren. “You will forever be my favorite person on the planet. I hope we are still spinning DJ sets when we are 90.”
The couple are the definition of #relationshipgoals for many country fans, and Lauren is as much a part of Thomas’ career as he is. She is the inspiration peppered throughout many of his chart toppers, including his most recent No. 1 single “Life Changes.”
“I bought a ring and she said “I do” / But everybody else said, “man, you’re twenty-two / “Whatcha trying to prove?” / “Hey why don’t you wait?” / ‘Cause I’ve been waiting on her since the second grade / And now she got her own set of fans / Got a blue check mark by her Instagram / And I wrote a little song about holding her hand and now everybody wanna die happy now,” he sings on “Life Changes.”
The couple frequently share their travels and home life with two young daughters with fans on social media. In August, they went on a romantic vacation to Italy sans children and documented much of the trip on Instagram. Visiting picturesque locations including Capri and Mount Vesuvius, TR shared his beautiful view: his wife. His first picture was a silhouette of Lauren looking out the window at the Italian coast. He followed that up with a photo of them swimming in the blue grotto in Capri. The perfect way to ring in six years together!
