It’s natural and expected that every artist is going to be excited for the release of a new project. Thomas Rhett certainly seems to be anxious to put his nostalgic new collection, Center Point Road, out for the world to hear.

The award-winning singer and songwriter shared a post on his Instagram page showing followers that Center Point Road is an actual place. As he drives to the destination, he explains, “I would say that most of your intense memories come from middle school, high school days.”

He goes on to say, “So, much of my high school years were really spent making memories here on Center Point Road and it’s crazy that they would influence who I am today as a husband, a dad, an artist. All those memories were the string that really tied everything together. I think we all have that spot we can think back on call home. Center Point Road is that for me.”

Center Point Road is not set to drop until the end of May, but fans are already enjoying the debut single from the project, the pop-infused “Look What God Gave Her.” Although Thomas hasn’t confirmed if the album is a concept collection pinned to memories from his youth, the title certainly indicates that it could be a bit of a trip, sonically and lyrically, down memory lane, as does the bonus track that followers get when they pre-order the collection, “That Old Truck.”

And, as he says hopping out of his pick-up, “Can you just smell the nostalgia? I can.”
