As if it needed rekindling.
Let’s face it, Tim McGraw is one of the most loveable music icons to ever hit the country scene. Tim’s a family man. Plus, he caught the heart of Faith Hill, basically put T-Swift on the map and, in case you forgot, he totally pulled off cargo camo pants and a cowboy hat at his 2003 performance for the the United States Air Force.
So in honor of SemTIMber, let’s take a minute to enjoy a few Tim McGraw classics that will have you questioning why you ever listened to anything else.
1. “Just To See You Smile”
If there was a competition for cutest songs that have ever been written, this song would definitely hold its own, if not win by a landslide. It is precious. Feel free to play it on repeat, no shame in that.
2. “Red Rag Top”
This invites everyone to relive the first love/ heartbreak saga for less than 5 minutes. Thank you for making us cry, Tim. No really, we needed that.
3. “She’s My Kind of Rain”
Rain has never been this cool. This describes a power woman. And was that a Rembrandt reference we just heard? Oh Tim, you’re so well-rounded. Life goals: Become somebody’s kind of rain.
4. “Live Like You Were Dying”
Has there ever been a song so inspiring? Skydiving and bullriding sales skyrocketed after this song release. Tim just caused every American citizen to live life on purpose. Dare I say, Tim McGraw 2016?
5. “It’s Your Love”
This is too much. Not only do you get the melodic masterpiece of joining two powerhouse country stars for a duet, but they’re married. And it’s a love song. This song just does something to me– It makes me want to sing Faith’s part in my own personal car duet with Tim.
6. “Last Dollar (Fly Away)”
Father of the year award. What could be more adorable than incorporating your own children into a country classic? Tim for the win.
7. “Highway Don’t Care”
Because Tim is basically the one responsible for Taylor Swift’s fame, he naturally would make her entire life by singing this killer duet with her. Please take a minute to imagine T-Swift fan-girling in Tim’s presence. But seriously, who wouldn’t?
Happy SepTIMber everyone! Long live your love for Tim McGraw.
