Abby Anderson Honors Aretha Franklin with Stunning Version of “Natural Woman”

Country newcomer Abby Anderson wasn’t even a thought in her parents minds when Aretha Franklin was releasing epic hits like ‘Respect” and “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.” But the impact the Queen of Soul has had on many generations is evident as Abby takes on one of Aretha’s classics.

After hearing of the passing of Aretha on Thursday, Abby took to Instagram to mourn the loss of the legend, who brought us “Think,” “Chain of Fools” and “I Say a Little Prayer.” The Texas native, decked out in a beautiful red, off-the-shoulder dress with red lipstick to match, posted a video seated at a piano. She then went on to share a beautiful version of “Natural Woman,” in honor of Aretha

“My mom showed me a video of Aretha Franklin when I was seven to convince me to stay in piano lessons. It worked,” Abby wrote. “She changed my life and I listen to her everyday. To the woman whose voice and music will live forever, long love the queen.”

While Aretha may be gone, she will most certainly not be forgotten.
