As fans and country music superstars gear up for a rip-roarin’ good time in Las Vegas at the
52nd Annual ACM Awards, one has to wonder– who will walk away with a trophy or two?

The ACM Awards are much harder to predict than any other awards show, which is evidenced by the nominations alone.

The 52nd Annual ACM Awards will air on Sunday, April 2 at 8:00pm ET/delayed PT on CBS.

52nd Annual ACM Awards Predictions:

ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR
Jason Aldean
Luke Bryan

Carrie Underwood
Keith Urban

Florida Georgia Line

Kind of insane that Garth Brooks isn’t on this, but you can’t win ’em all, right?

Should Be: Carrie Underwood

Could Be: Underwood, Aldean

SINGLE OF THE YEAR
(Award goes to Artist, Producer(s), and Mix Engineer(s))
“Blue Ain’t Your Color” // Keith Urban

“My Church” // Maren Morris

“Humble & Kind” // Tim McGraw

“Vice” // Miranda Lambert

“H.O.L.Y.” // Florida Georgia Line

One would think “Humble & Kind” is the obvious winner, but remember– final votes came in right after Maren Morris took home a GRAMMY for “My Church.” Last year, the ACM for this went to the most commercially dominant song. Could happen again this year, too.

Should Be: “Humble & Kind,” “Blue Ain’t Your Color”

Could Be: “Humble & Kind,” “H.O.L.Y.”

ALBUM OF THE YEAR

Black // Dierks Bentley
Hero // Maren Morris
Dig Your Roots // Florida Georgia Line
Ripcord // Keith Urban
The Weight of These Wings // Miranda Lambert

A lady will walk away with this one, just not sure which lady.

Should Be:
Lambert, Morris

Could Be: Lambert, Morris

SONG OF THE YEAR
“Blue Ain’t Your Color” // Keith Urban
“Die A Happy Man” // Thomas Rhett

Humble & Kind” // Tim McGraw

“Kill A Word” // Eric Church

“Tennessee Whiskey” // Chris Stapleton

“Vice” // Miranda Lambert

“Humble & Kind” and “Kill A Word” are the two obvious choices.

Should Be: Humble & Kind

Could Be: “Humble & Kind”

FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR
Kelsea Ballerini
Miranda Lambert

Maren Morris
Kacey Musgraves

Carrie Underwood

If anybody other than Carrie Underwood wins, it’s a joke. But, don’t be shocked if Maren Morris wins over Underwood and Miranda Lambert.

Should Be: Underwood

Could Be: Underwood, Lambert, Morris

MALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR
Dierks Bentley
Thomas Rhett

Jason Aldean

Chris Stapleton

Keith Urban

It’s been a big year for each of these guys– Aldean, Bentley and Urban put out new records and had big hits on the charts. But, Thomas Rhett had the year of his life.

Should Be: Urban, Bentley

Could Be: Rhett, Urban, Bentley, Aldean, Stapleton

VOCAL GROUP OF THE YEAR
Lady Antebellum
Little Big Town

Old Dominion

Rascal Flatts

Eli Young Band

Rascal Flatts did a bit of a comeback this year, but Little Big Town and Old Dominion are the only true contenders.

Should Be: Little Big Town

Could Be: Little Big Town, Old Dominion

VOCAL DUO OF THE YEAR
Brothers Osborne
Dan + Shay

Florida Georgia Line

Big and Rich

Maddie & Tae

Since Florida Georgia Line has five nominations heading into the show, it’s likely that we won’t see another Brothers Osborne upset like at the CMA Awards, but you never know.

Should Be: Brothers Osborne

Could Be: Florida Georgia Line, Brothers Osborne

VOCAL EVENT OF THE YEAR
“Different For Girls” // Dierks Bentley feat. Elle King
“Forever Country” // CMA Various ArtistsCMA Various Artists
“May We All” // Florida Georgia Line featuring Tim McGraw
“Think of You” // Chris Young (duet with Cassadee Pope)
“Setting The World on Fire” // Kenny Chesney with P!nk

I didn’t think “Forever Country” would be able to make its way to the final ballot, but since it did, I think it’ll take home a trophy.

Should Be: “Forever Country”

Could Be:Forever Country”

MUSIC VIDEO OF THE YEAR
“Forever Country” // CMA
“Peter Pan” // Kelsea Ballerini
“Humble & Kind” // Tim McGraw

“Fire Away” // Chris Stapleton

“Vice” // Miranda Lambert

I’m a big fan of all of these videos and each are deserving in their own way, but I think “Forever Country” was just too special to be ignored.

Should Be: “Forever Country”

Could Be: Let’s do an actual order for how I think the votes went: (1) “Forever Country;” (2) “Humble & Kind;” “Vice;” “Peter Pan;” (5) “Fire Away”
