Does it get any more country than a duet between Waylon Jennings and Hank Williams Jr.? No, but Adam Wakefield and Blake Shelton put forth their best effort with their performance of “The Conversation” during the finale of season 10 of “The Voice.” Adam is #TeamBlake‘s final contestant and will likely end up being one of Blake’s most successful artists to ever come through the show.

The song was originally released on Jr.’s 1979 Platinum selling album Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound and again on Jennings’ 1983 album Waylon and Company.

It was, undoubtedly, the most country performance of the season and though Blake has been performing everywhere lately, he was the perfect compliment to Adam’s soulful, Chris Stapleton-ish vibe.
