Alan Jackson Voices Support For Daughter Mattie’s New Venture, NaSHEville

Alan Jackson is being a supportive dad to his daughter Mattie Selecman as she begins her new venture, NAsheVILLE.

NAsheVILLE is founded by Mattie and her friend Brooke Tometich. The two women have joined forces to help other women in need. According to a press release the purpose is to create a community for women to share their stories and support one another in grace, to provide  a unique, chic lifestyle and apparel brand for women of Nashville, and to create and a platform to give back the brand’s finances and time to three core ministries: orphans, widows, and trafficked women of the city.

The proud papa took to Instagram to share his support, along with a photo of his wife and three daughters.

“My daughter Mattie has a new mission and venture that gives back to women and orphans in need. Go check out @nasheville_ and support strong women like her, turning their great pain into a great purpose. #ProudDaddy #ProudOfAllMyGirls #NaSHEville,” Alan wrote.

“I’ve always been a girl who knew I could do anything — anything I set my mind to or that God had in the cards for me,” said Mattie in a statement. “Now, that anything is Nasheville — a brand and mission that tells all women in Nashville that same truth. The truth that we are here to encourage each other, through successes and failures, joys and losses. The truth that through something as fundamental as clothing, we can help the broken and give back to “she’s” who are truly in need.”

Mattie lost her husband Ben Selecman in September, when he passed from head injuries due to a fall he had taken while in Jupiter, Florida. Alan spoke out soon after, thanking fans and friend for the outpouring of support.

“It’s with grateful hearts that Denise and I want to thank our friends and fans for the outpouring of love and prayers during the hospitalization and ultimate passing of our son in law, Ben Selecman,” Alan wrote. “Ben was a southern boy who loved hunting and fishing and just being outdoors. His childlike enthusiasm for each new day was contagious to everyone around him. He was the godly young man that Denise had always prayed for for Mattie. Ben, rest in peace until we see you again.”
