Arkansas native Ashley McBryde has released a video for her newest single, “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega.” The song is a tender ballad about having a bad day and turning it into a good night. Although the singer initially hails from Arkansas, the video is set in Watertown, Tennessee, a place near Nashville that she calls home today. It features shots of a waitress having a rough go at it at a diner, and other people brooding in motel rooms. Ultimately things come together when the characters come together at a chance meeting during an Ashley McBryde performance in their town.

The song, like the video is an ode to that place we can always go for a good time after a bad thing:

Here’s to the break ups that didn’t break us
The break down, wrong turn that takes ya
To a little dive bar in Dahlonega
Hear a song from a band that saves ya, man
It’s hittin’ rock bottom smoke ’em if you got ’em
Nothing’s going right
Makin’ the best of a worst day, kind of night.

McBryde partnered with frequent Eric Church and Brothers Osborne collaborator Jay Joyce to write this song. She is set to tour with both Eric Church and Brothers Osborne for a pair of shows in September.
