In 2011, after Glen Campbell was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease he went on what he called a “goodbye tour.” Three of his children joined him in his backing band. His final performance was in November 2012, but before that the GRAMMYs awarded him the GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award which came with a star-studded performance during the show.

Blake Shelton sang “Southern Nights” with Ashley Campbell on the banjo before welcoming Campbell to the stage to sing “Rhinestone Cowboy.” The entire crowd was on their feet and Paul McCartney can be seen pumping his fist and singing along.

Truly wonderful.
