Blake Shelton is an ugly mayor. First of all, he’s not ugly and he’s not a mayor but he wil play one in the movies.
Blake will be joining his pal and Voice coach, Kelly Clarkson in the STX Entertainment animated feature “UglyDolls.” Blake will be voicing the character of Ox, the mayor of Uglyville.
The Oklahoma native took to social media to share the good news.
“I just wanted to hop on here and tell you something very special. That is that I am Ox, the mayor of Uglyville,” Blake laughs. “Not exactly but that’s my characters name in the new STX Entertainment animated feature.”
He then introduced fans to the doll himself. “This is Ox, the mayor of Uglyville. He’s going to sound a lot like me because it’s going to be my voice,” Blake added. “It’s coming out in May. You guys go see it. Love ya!”
Kelly has been tapped for the role of Moxy in the film, which she announced in July via Facebook. The movie will also feature singer PitBull, who will record music for the film.
In the film, Kelly’s character Moxy and her UglyDolls friends confront what it means to be different, struggle with their desire to be loved, and ultimately discover that you don’t have to be perfect to be amazing because who you truly are is what matters most.
Blake and Kelly in a movie together, that won’t be any fun at all.
