It takes one to know one, right? That’s why the hit reality competition show, America’s Got Talent, is reaching into a massive pool of talented and established entertainers to bring a cast of successful guest judges to this season’s show, including country star Brad Paisley.

Of course, when you have a gifted singer-songwriter the caliber of Brad Paisley, you obviously want him to do more than just sit in as a judge on the show, so the producers invited him and Julianne Hough to collaborate on a new song for AGT.

It appears it wasn’t up to Brad or Julianne to write the tune. In a hilarious new video, Julianne pulls lyrics out of a bucket while Brad strums along and tries to string them together in a manner that somehow makes sense. And while the end results have no chance of topping the country singles charts or even being a theme song for the TV show, it is worth a giggle.

“This is exactly how we write songs in Nashville, same thing,” Brad jokes as he strings the lyrics together.

Brad is the first of the celebrity guest judges to take a seat at the table during the show’s Judge Cut on the July 16 episode. In the following weeks NBA legend Dwayne Wayde (July 23), actress Ellie Kemper (July 30) and actor, comedian and iconic talk show host, Jay Leno (Aug. 6), will also have a turn on the panel where they’ll each have their own golden buzzer, which sends contestants straight to the live shows.  To date, five acts have received a Golden Buzzer and secured a place in the live shows, which begin Aug. 13.
