How To Make Bread Ring Pizza Dip:
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 8 oz. sweet Italian sausage
- 1 1/2 cups marinara
- Pinch of red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper
- 1 lb. mozzarella
- 1 cup ricotta
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
- 1 1/2 lbs. store-bought pizza dough
- 1 oz. sliced pepperoni (about 1/4 cup)
- 3 tbsp. unsalted butter
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. In a large skillet, heat the oil on medium-high until it lightly simmers. Add the sausage and break it up with a wooden spoon, cooking for about 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned. Add the marinara, red pepper flakes and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer, reduce the heat to medium low and cook for 8-10 minutes or until the mixture is thick. Remove from the heat and set aside.
In a medium bowl, grate half the mozzarella, then stir in ricotta, Parmesan and 1 clove of garlic. Cut the remaining mozzarella into thirds, then cut each third into 6 rectangular pieces for a total of 18 pieces of cheese.
