Brett Eldredge may have wrapped his Glow Live Tour but that doesn’t mean the festivities have to end. Before he heads back home to Illinois for the holidays, the country singer shared his 2018 Christmas card with fans on Instagram.
Looking dapper in a suit and bow-tie with a whiskey in his hand, Brett is dressed for the occasion. The black and white photo shows the singer accompanied by a sleepy-looking Edgar seated beside him.
“MY lil FAMILY CHRISTMAS CARD,” Brett captions the image. “Love ya.”
Brett finished his five-date Christmas tour over the weekend with two sold-out shows in Nashville. Next, he’ll head back to Illinois for the holidays for some quality family time.
“I go back to the midwest, back home,” he recently told “TODAY” co-hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb ahead of a live performance. “My aunt’s house is full of 30 people at one time. I go back home and see family and do the same thing I’ve done my entire life.”
While his childhood often included singing around the holidays, he admits that these days he prefers to catch up with his family instead.
“I would always sing every year. I would sing ‘O Holy Night’ in the choir loft,” he recalled. “They still give me a lot of grief over the fact that now I just want to sit with the family.”
Brett says this year his family shouldn’t give him any grief as many of them witnessed him sing “O Holy Night” live throughout several concert dates of his holiday tour.
