Brett Young Performs “Like I Loved You” for a National TV Audience and Jimmy Kimmel

-

Brett Young took his broken heart to “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

The singer performed the end of a relationship tune “Like I Loved You” and the crowd loved it. The tune is deeply relatable to just about anyone who has ever been in a relationship, which is everyone.

The lyrics are gut-wrenching and Young’s delivery makes you feel like you just went through a break-up.

Don’t tell me we can still be friends
Hanging on the weekend
You’re gonna be okay if I start seeing somebody new
You hope that I do
It won’t be long
Till I forget to call every time that I’m drinking
And you ain’t the love song
I can’t keep from singing
I gotta be honest
You really believe that’s the truth
You never loved me like I loved you

This was Young’s first national TV perfomance of the tune.
