Brett Young Makes The Holidays Bright With “O Holy Night” Performance on “LIVE with Kelly and Ryan”

Newcomer Brett Young is wrapping up his year with some major holiday spirit. The 36-year-old singer traveled to New York for an appearance on “LIVE with Kelly and Ryan” where he performed the Christmas classic, “O Holy Night,” for the show’s Holiday Hits Week.

The holiday tune is one of Brett’s favorite songs, so much so that he released his own version of the classic in October. “I grew up singing ‘O Holy Night’ in church, and it reminds me of so many childhood memories,” Brett said in a statement. “There’s just something so beautiful and reverent about it that gets me in the holiday spirit every time I hear it. It is one of my favorite Christmas songs so I jumped at the chance to record it.”

Surrounded by Christmas Trees on set, Brett belted out a powerful version of the song, sounding better than ever. He then chatted a bit with co-hosts Kelly and Ryan, who both commented on how tall the country singer was, making the “In Case You Didn’t Know” singer feel compelled to sit down while talking with the pair.

Brett has enjoyed quite a successful year with two back-to-back No. 1 hits, “Sleep Without You” and “In Case You Didn’t Know.” After wrapping a stint on Lady Antebellum’s You Look Good Tour, Brett took off on his first-ever tour, the Caliville Tour, with Carly Pearce to end the year.

And because we care, here is a friendly reminder: There are currently 19 days left until Christmas, which means only 3 more Saturdays left to shop. Ho! Ho! Ho!
