Carly Pearce has definitely paid her Nashville dues, even if the success of her debut single, “Every Little Thing” seems like it was an overnight success.
Before releasing the song and her debut album of the same name, Carly was in Nashville working retail and cleaning houses. Now, she’s got the No. 1 song in the country and she’s literally speechless. Mostly.
While on stage opening up for Brett Young’s Caliville Tour, Carly shared with the crowd, “I’m going to try and get through and not cry. I just want country radio and you guys to know– this is all I’ve ever wanted to do. I can not believe that this happened with this song. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.”
On top of “Every Little Thing” going No. 1, the song is also certified GOLD, making Carly the only solo female with a charting country debut single to achieve this milestone in 2017.
And yes, we predicted this would happen.
