With just a week to go until the 51st Annual CMA Awards airs on ABC, The CMA is checking in with it’s hosts, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.
Returning for their 10th year as co-hosts of the big night, Carrie and Brad sat down with CMA Insider to recall some of their favorite CMA moments from the past 9 years and answer fan questions. Who could forget that moment when Brad and Carrie had to dance Gangam style on the big stage?
“[The choreographer] was frustrated I think, working with me,” Brad recalled. “He pulled a miracle off that I was anywhere near correct.”
When asked the question, which country star do they like to play jokes on the most, Brad immediately responded, “Tim McGraw.”
Carrie was more diplomatinc responding by saying, “I think Tim and Faith are good sports. I like people that laugh at themselves like Tim and Faith, Blake [Shelton], Luke [Bryan] they’re willing to just—they just laugh.”
“Tim and Faith have given us something to work with, whether that’s barbies or cologne or barbies again,” Brad said.
“I feel like they are going to get us back at some point,” Carrie said nervously.
“I hope so,” Brad added.
It’s safe to say, with Tim and Faith scheduled perform at this year’s CMA Awards show, that jokes are already written. Watch out Tim and Faith.
Tune in to the 51st CMA Awards live Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 8p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on ABC.
