Hockey is a weird sport with weird traditions and the Nashville Predators are the top of that list with their catfish on the ice before games tradition.

The Predators catfish tradition started in 2003, presumably after the Detroit Red Wings tradition of throwing an octopus onto the ice during the playoffs.

Before game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals in Pittsburgh a Nashville fan got a catfish into the arena and onto the ice. He was dismissed from the game, had charges filed against him and then dropped.

Carrie Underwood called the catfish thrower her hero and now, sports enthusiast and radio host Clay Travis wants Carrie to attempt it– for $10,000.

Actually, it’s up to $50,000.

Will she?
