If you’ve been paying attention to Carrie Underwood’s socials, you know that the reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year has been up to her eyelashes in rehearsals for the upcoming Cry Pretty 360 Tour. With the tour launch on May 1, it’s getting to crunch time, so Carrie, her incredible band, and her top-shelf crew are running through the show, top to bottom, front to back, beginning to end. And from her most recent post, we can assume that the full rehearsal was good.
A video on Carrie’s Instagram page shows the country star after the final number, walking backstage. Along the way, the always sunny superstar is clapping for her team and telling them how great she thought rehearsal went. “It felt good,” she says smiling. “Not that I didn’t think we would make it.”
She then silently mouths, “I didn’t think we would make it.”
Now, we’d be willing to bet our last dollar that Carrie was joking. In fact, we’re certain of it. Any artist who put that much effort into their summer tour would likely struggle to make light of a bad rehearsal and they certainly wouldn’t have a camera running on them in the process.
Besides, Carrie’s fans know that the multi-platinum talent is as zany as she is talented, and she’s always ready for a laugh or ten, especially, when she can turn it on herself.
Carrie is hitting the road with her pals Maddie & Tae and Runaway June, and although no one has mentioned if there would be an onstage collaboration with the ladies, it looks like the RJ gang is ready for it if there is. They’ve worked up a mash-up of Carrie’s hits.
