Charley Pride and Dwight Yoakam are among the performers for the “Grammy Salute to Music Legends.”

The performances will honor the Recording Academy’s 2017 Special Merit Award recipients including this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award honorees Shirley Caesar, Ahmad Jamal, Charley Pride, Jimmie Rodgers, Nina Simone, Sly Stone, and the Velvet Underground.

Musical director Paul Shaffer is helming the tribute concert that will feature “rare performances by honorees and never-before-seen renditions by those they’ve inspired.”

Other performers include John Cale of the Velvet Underground, Caesar, jazz pianist Stanley Cowell, Andra Day, Kirk Franklin, Randy Newman, Catherine Russell, Valerie Simpson, Dionne Warwick and Charlie Wilson.

The live concert will take place on July 11 at the Beacon Theatre in New York City and broadcast on PBS’ “Great Performances” later this year.
