Chevel Shepherd may be the new winner of “The Voice,” but before she took home the win, the New Mexico native got the chance of a lifetime to perform with country stars Dan + Shay.
The country duo was one of many guests artists to appear on the show, which included Dierks Bentley, Kelly Rowland and the Doobie Brothers.
Chevel stunned in a floor length burgundy gown as smoke covered the stage. Perched between Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, Chevel waited for her moment to shine as Shay kicked off the song. Never disappointing, the 16-year-old effortlessly belted part of the first verse before joining the guys on the chorus.
“I’m speechless / Starin’ at you standin’ there in that dress / What it’s doin’ to me ain’t a secret / ‘Cause watching you is all that I can do / And I’m speechless / You already know that you’re my weakness / After all this time I’m just as nervous / Every time you walk into the room / I’m speechless,” they sang.

Following the performance, Chevel took home the top prize, beating out Kennedy Holmes, Kirk Jay and Chris Kroeze. Chevel’s win gave coach Kelly Clarkson her second win, in as many season’s on “The Voice.”
