Team Kelly’s Chevel Shepherd Channels The Judds on “The Voice”

Chevel Shepherd just keeps on getting better! The 16-year-old contestant on “The Voice” is one of the youngest this season, but that’s not stopping her from wowing the coaches and viewers each week with her sweet country twang.

During the Top 24 performances, Chevel, who is a part of Kelly Clarkson’s team, took on The Judds’ “Grandpa (Tell Me ‘Bout The Good Old Days)— a song that most 16-year-olds have likely never heard, let alone that they’d be able to perform like this.

Chevel has gravitated towards country music the majority of the season, giving an incredible cover of the Dixie Chicks’ “Travelin’ Soldier” during knockout rounds. During blind auditions, she won over Kelly Clarkson’s heart with her cover of The Band Perry’s “If I Die Young.”
