Chris Janson, already known for fun-loving hits “Buy Me a Boat,” and “Fix a Drink” is changing his tune with the release of his powerful new single “Drunk Girl.”

The song with the title that sounds like another upbeat drinking tune, is anything but that. Chris’ solid vocals take us through “Drunk Girl” with a powerful message to men on how they should treat a women who finds herself in a precarious situation—“That’s how she knows the difference between a boy and man.”

In a time when sexual harassment/misconduct scandals are being uncovered on a daily basis, “Drunk Girl,” written by Chris, Tom Douglas and Scooter Carusoe, is a song needed to send the right message. Chris joins Keith Urban, who takes a stand for women with the song”Female”— and hopefully more male artists to come—in showing that respect for women is how a real man act.

“Take a drunk girl home / Let her sleep all alone / Leave her keys on the counter your number by her phone / Pick up her life she threw on the floor / Leave the hall lights on walk out and lock the door / That’s how she knows the difference between a boy and man / Take a drunk girl home.

“Drunk Girl,” set to hit radio on Dec. 11, is featured on Chris’s album Everybody, which includes the hit song “Fix a Drink.” Kudos Chris!
