CMA Announces Intriguing  Collabs for 51st Annual CMA Awards

Never to be outdone by other interesting awards show collaborations, the CMA recently announced a few of its own for the 51st Annual CMA Awards.

Performances include Kelsea Ballerini and Reba McEntire; Dierks Bentley and Rascal Flatts; Maren Morris and Niall Horan; and Brad Paisley and Kane Brown.

The Kelsea and Reba pairing make sense and could be a ton of fun as, both vie for Female Vocalist of the Year. Reba has previously won the category four years in a row (1984-87).

Of course, Maren and Niall’s duet of “Seeing Blind” is incredible and is sure to be incredible live.

The two head scratchers are definitely the pairing of Dierks and Rascal Flatts and Brad and Kane. One has to assume that since it’s been a number of years since Flatts performed during the Awards it was just time for them to do so. Dierks has been fighting vocal issues most of the year, so maybe this is being done so he doesn’t have to over-exert himself on live TV? What are they even going to sing?

Brad will pause from his co-hosting duties to share his latest effort “Heaven South” with newcomer Kane. This one is a bit of a shocker, but ultimately is going to be huge for Kane, if he can deliver.

The 51st Annual CMA Awards, which will grace the stage live from Bridgestone Arena, Wednesday, Nov. 8(8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood co-host for the 10th consecutive year.
