Reba McEntire will ring in the 2018 holiday season as she returns as host of “CMA Country Christmas” for the second year. The ninth annual show will air on Dec. 10 on ABC at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT.
“I’ve always cherished celebrating Christmas alongside family and friends, taking time to reflect on the season,” Reba previously shared in a statement. “I’m so excited CMA invited me back to host their show and am looking forward to fun singing carols with my friends.”
Reba will be joined by a long list of country artists and legendary acts who help put their own spin on the holiday classics. Joining Reba as performers are Tony Bennett, Dan + Shay, Brett Eldredge, Amy Grant, Diana Krall, Dustin Lynch, Martina McBride, Old Dominion, Brad Paisley, Michael W. Smith, Lindsey Stirling, The Isaacs and Brett Young.
Throughout the special, each artist will perform a special holiday tune while the stage is decorated festively for the occasion. This year, CMA partnered with Balsam Hill, which offered up beautifully realistic Christmas trees and décor to surround the stage.
Reba took the reigns of the show in 2017, replacing Jennifer Nettles, who hosted “CMA Country Christmas” for six consecutive years. The two-hour broadcast will include Christmas classics and festive one-of-a-kind collaborations.
This year’s show was taped live and in front of an audience at Belmont University’s Curb Event Center in Nashville on Sept. 27.
