As the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide prepare to meet in the College Football Playoffs finals for the national championship, we broke down who we think will win the only way we know how– country music stars and their loyalty.

First off, these days, there are two states pumping out country music legends at an alarming rate– Oklahoma and Georgia. The current number of country music stars, like singers who have had a No. 1 hit, from Georgia, is insane: Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, some of Little Big Town, some of Lady Antebellum, Zac Brown Band, Sam Hunt, Kip Moore, Thomas Rhett, Brantley Gilbert, Jennifer Nettles, Trisha Yearwood, Cole Swindell, Alan Jackson and Travis Tritt. Plus, the Peach Pickers are from Georgia.

The number of current country music singers from Alabama is a little less– Jimi Westbrook, Jason Isbell, Emmylou Harris, and Alabama. Jason Aldean’s wife Brittany did attend the University of Alabama but is from North Carolina. Sara Evans usually considers herself a Missouri Tigers fan, but her husband Jay Barker was a quarterback for the Tide and won a national title for them in the ’90s, so her loyalty is also there.

Based on this assessment, Georgia will win.
