“Country Rising’s” all-star benefit concert, scheduled to take place on Nov. 12 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, just got a little bigger. The sold out show has announced that they will be expanding the evenings events to included an additional show at a second location, with even more country acts.
The additional show—being called “Country Rising: Downtown Jam”— will take place the same night (Nov. 12) at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater and include performances from Tucker Beathard, Bobby Bones & The Raging Idiots, Bailey Bryan, Lindsay Ell, Chris Janson, Jon Pardi, Eric Paslay, Carly Pearce and Drake White, with more artists to be announced.
What started out as a benefit concert to help those affected by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Jose and Maria, had expanded it’s efforts to help those who lost their lives and were injured at the Route 91 Music Festival in Las Vegas on Oct. 1.
Artists scheduled to appear at Bridgestone for the original “Country Rising” benefit concert include, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Chris Stapleton, George Strait, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban.
Proceeds from the concert will benefit The Country Rising Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, which was established to support charitable initiatives to help victims of the September 2017 hurricanes — Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Jose and Maria. The fund will now incorporate victims of the Las Vegas shooting.
