It looks like country music will be well represented this Thanksgiving, as performers and oversized balloon’s march down the streets of New York for the 2017 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Lauren Alaina, Dustin Lynch, Cam and Sara Evans are the country artists that have been announced to participate. Other performers include Andra Day, Sabrina Carpenter, Bebe Rexha, Common, 98 Degrees, Andy Grammar, Wyclef Jean and more.
“For more than 90 years, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has signaled the start of the holiday season for millions of families,” group vice president of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Susan Tercero said in a statement. “We are thrilled to once again come together as a nation to give this gift of joy and wonder to all. Our incredible team has planned a fantastic spectacle featuring an amazing line-up of giant character balloons, floats of fantasy, the nation’s best marching bands and performance groups, a dazzling array of musical artists, all coming together to herald the arrival of the one-and-only Santa Claus.”
Previous country artists that have taken party in the Thanksgiving festivities include Brett Eldredge, Kellie Pickler, Billy Currington, Cole Swindell, Trace Adkins, Rodney Atkins, Darius Rucker, Kelsea Ballerini, Easton Corbin, Maddie & Tae and more.
