It’s been over a year since Craig Morgan lost his son, Jerry, 19, who died on July 10, 2016, after a boating accident on Kentucky Lake in Tennessee.
Morgan, who just completed hosting the eighth season of “Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors,” is paying tribute to his young son in the show’s season finale. “All Access Outdoors” follows the life of the country singer– both on stage and in the field.
The “That’s What I Love About Sunday” singer and his son were both big fans of the outdoors, spending as much time as they could doing what they love. Fans of the show will know Jerry, as he made several appearances alongside his dad.
In a touching clip, Morgan talks about his son and the time they spent together.
“This is by far the most difficult for me to do because I’m discussing my son, someone that I love so much, who’s not here with us anymore,” Morgan says in the preview. “Of all my children, Jerry was probably with me more than any throughout the years on the show. He was super passionate about the outdoors, which was wonderful for me because I got to spend so much of my life and the experiences that I get to take in with Jerry.”
The season finale of “Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors” will re-air on Friday Sept. 29 on the Outdoor Channel.
