Craig Morgan Remembers Late Son, Jerry, on What Would Have Been His 21st Birthday

Losing a child is something no parent should have to endure. Craig Morgan and his wife, lost their 19-year-old son, Jerry, in July 2016, due to a boating accident.

The singer has kept his son’s memory alive with social media posts and paying tribute to his young son in “All Access Outdoors” season finale.

On January 24, what would have been Jerry’s 21st birthday, Craig took to Facebook to share some photos of his sone and a precious bible verse.


“Woe is me for my hurt! my wound is grievous: but I said, Truly this is a grief, and I must bear it.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭10:19‬ ‭KJV,” Craig wrote with a link to the bible verse.

“Everyday is tough but some Are tougher. It’s your birthday. We will remain strong in our faith and pray God is glorified. I will see you again son.”

The Morgan family recently announced a new upcoming TV series that will touch on how he family is coping with the loss of Jerry. The docuseries, “Morgan Family Strong,” will follow Craig and his close-knit family —wife Karen, daughter Alexandra, and sons Kyle and Wyatt— at home and on tour as they come together around the heartbreak of losing their son and brother, Jerry, in a tragic accident, by launching the family’s passion project – Morgan Farms.

Jerry lost his life after a tubing accident on the Tennessee River near Kentucky Lake—100 miles west of Nashville. The cause of death was ruled accidental drowning.
