Craig Wayne Boyd has revealed his new single “We Sweat,” and it’s a swampy jam that begs listeners to blast on repeat. In an acoustic video for the song, Craig Wayne’s soulful vocals are highlighted alongside memorable slide guitar accompaniment and delicate cajon beats.
“Boy, if you ain’t sweatin’ you ain’t doin’ somethin’ right,” Craig Wayne croons on the track.
Singing about sipping whiskey while pouring concrete, it appears that Craig Wayne has the balancing of his work life and social life figured out. With undeniable swagger, the sultry song highlights the Texas native’s powerful vocals. “We Sweat” was penned by Walker Hayes, Josh Helms and Matt Willis. Hear the song in its entirety below.
“We Sweat” is featured on the singer’s latest album, 2017’s “Top Shelf.” It marks his first full-length project since winning Season 7 of NBC’s “The Voice” in 2014. Craig rose to become a favorite on the show and on Blake Shelton’s team, frequently performing classic country hits including “I Walk The Line,” “You Look So Good In Love,” and “Workin’ Man Blues.”
Additionally, his single “My Baby’s Got A Smile On Her Face” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, becoming the second song in history to achieve that level of chart success. The only other artist who had previously accomplished this feat was Garth Brooks with “More Than A Memory.”
While Craig Wayne’s music career has taken off, so has his home life. Late last year, the singer welcomed his third child, son Graydon Scott, into the world. The new arrival joined his big sister Dakota Lynne (2) and older brother Jaxon (5), Craig’s son from a previous relationship, into the Boyd family.
