Dan + Shay have announced that they’ll be headlining the upcoming Concert for Unity for the Tree of Life Synagogue at Byham Theater in Pittsburgh next month. All the proceeds made during the Dec. 2 concert in Pennsylvania will be donated to the rebuilding of Tree of Life Synagogue.
“On behalf of our entire congregation, I wish to thank all who are involved in this amazing effort to support the rebuilding of our synagogue,” said Samuel K. Schachner, Ph.D., President, Tree of Life Congregation, in a statement. “We are so appreciative of A Concert for Unity for the Tree of Life’s benefit, just as we are humbled by this incredible show of support from all who are involved. This proves that love truly is stronger than hate.”
On Oct. 27, the synagogue was involved in a shooting that killed 11 people and injured 7. In addition to Dan + Shay performing, FRZY and The Andy Davis Band will also take part in the benefit concert. Tickets are on sale for $40 and can be purchased via trustarts.org. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the concert begins at 2 p.m.
