Dan + Shay show off their unique dance moves in a fun new clip posted to Instagram.
In the video, the country duo are hanging on their tour bus in what appears to be them getting ready for a concert. Their pre-show ritual has Travis Scott’s song “Sicko Mode” blasting while Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney get down on the bus dance floor.
While the choreography is questionable (dad moves anyone?), Shay does let things loose while Dan is beside him laughing along. At one point Shay seems to mimic the Backstreet Boys “Everybody” dance, but we’re not too sure.
“Really good dancers, obviously,” the duo caption the hilarious clip.
Dan + Shay aren’t the only country act to get energized before a show with a dance party. In a recent interview, Brett Eldredge admits that his entire band is involved in the tradition.
“We’ll play some music—a lot of 80s songs, but everything is fair game—and then everyone showcases their most ridiculous dance moves. You get your blood flowing, you get your adrenaline rolling, and then I’m excited,” Brett admits. “It makes me not as worried about stuff as I get going on stage. It’s all about having fun. I’m with the band, and we’re all dancing.”
Dan + Shay have had a successful 2018. The duo recently celebrated two chart toppers with their single “Tequila” and their latest album. Ahead of the Fourth of July holiday, the band had the No. 1 country album with their 2018 self-titled release on Billboard‘s Country Albums Chart and the No. 1 single in the country on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck charts.
“We felt this was the perfect project to make a self-titled record,” Shay says in a statement. “This album represents who we are and where we’re going. We’re so proud of every song and can’t wait to see where it takes us.
