Dan + Shay will be releasing their new single, “Speechless,” to radio next month and the song is already a hit with fans. The second single off their third studio album released in June, “Speechless” was penned by Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney with Jordan Reynolds and Laura Veltz.

“Speechless is definitely inspired by our wives,” Shay says in a statement. “It’s very cool to release songs that are not only stories of our lives but also very personal experiences. Seeing our wives for the first time in their wedding dresses was absolutely unforgettable and we talked about that while writing the song and bringing that moment to life in this song.”

The duo released the music video for the heartfelt ballad in May and the three-minute clip stars their wives during the first look on their wedding day. Dan married his wife, Abby Law, in May 2017, and Shay wed Hannah Billingsley in October 2017.

“I’m speechless staring at you standing there in that dress / What it’s doing to me ain’t a secret / ‘Cause watching you is all that I can do / And I’m speechless / You already know that you’re my weakness / After all this time I’m just as nervous / Every time you walk into the room I’m speechless,” they sing on the chorus.

Ahead of the single’s official release, “Speechless” has already received 32.5 million on-demand streams as well as ranks No. 8 in streams and No. 16 in sales on the Mediabase Top 50 Country chart. Country fans will get to hear the song throughout the summer as Dan + Shay are currently on the road with Rascal Flatts’ Back To Us Tour. They’ll join Chris Young for his fall leg of the Losing Sleep Tour in October before traveling overseas for their six-date UK headlining tour, which kicks off Jan. 17, 2019.
