It’s been almost 5 years since Danielle Bradbery was crowned the winner of “The Voice.” Not long after, she released her debut single, “The Heart of Dixie.” It’s been almost as long since her self-titled debut album dropped. But, finally after a long road and figuring out who she is and what she wants to be, Bradbery’s sophomore album, I Don’t Believe We’ve Met, is out and she also returned to the stage that started it all.
Bradbery’s “Sway” hasn’t quite cracked country radio’s Top 40 charts, but her tune, “Worth It” is turning heads with every listen.
Bradbery took “Worth It” to “The Voice” and though it may sound like a ballad about a relationship, she told the Washington Post, it’s actually about conversations she’s had about her career and the insecurities that come with that.
Cause I’m worth it
You’re crazy baby if you think that I don’t know it
I ain’t afraid to walk away if you can’t see it, believe it
And give me the love I’m deserving
It’s likely that she’s never called the head of her record label, Scott Borchetta, “baby,” but you know, after all this time, she’s likely said the other things.
