Many times when an artist rehearses, they don’t give it their all, that extra something that they give when it comes to showtime. However, when watching Dan+Shay rehearse, you would think you were watching the actual show.

The duo took to Instagram to share at a backstage rehearsal for their show at the Ryman Auditorium and Shay Mooney’s vocals are mind-blowing. If this is what we hear during a rehearsal, imagine what the full-blown show will be like.

With just a piano and Dan Smyers on guitar, the guys take a pass as their current single “Tequila,” from their upcoming third studio album.

“But when I taste Tequila, baby I still see ya / Cuttin’ up the floor in a Serotta t-shirt / the same one you wore when we were / sky high in Colorado / lips pressed against the bottle / swearing on a Bible, baby, I’d never leave ya / I remember how bad I need ya / when I taste Tequila / when I taste Tequila,” Shay croons in the chorus.

Dan + Shay made their debut on the Ryman stage back in February 2017. At that time, duo partner Dan Smyers called Shay Mooney the most talented guy in the whole world. We can see why.
