Country music stars are joining in on the fun as part of the original program “Carpool Karaoke: The Series” created by Apple Music.
The oh-so-popular Carpool Karaoke series is based on “The Late Late Show with James Corden’s” viral series. Corden doesn’t actually appear in the car during this series, he is however executive producer. In the new version, two celebrities are paired together to take on the singing duties.
Both Dierks Bentley and Blake Shelton are trying their hand at the viral series, starring in new episodes. Bentley’s episode is available now, while Shelton’s episode will be available Oct. 3.
In Bentley’s episode, the “Drunk on a Plane” singer teams up with pop star Sheryl Crow to hit the honky-tonk bars in downtown Nashville and see how many gigs they can play in half an hour. The duo end up crashing a few local bands’ sets and surprise the crowds.
Shelton is paired with comedienne/talk show host Chelsea Handler, who is apparently tone deaf. Watch the video and you’ll see. Handler and Shelton also manage to hit a bar, but for a different reason— to have a drink or two and maybe sing a song.
The show debuted on Aug. 8 and is available on Apple Music. Other guests who have appeared on the show include, John Legend, Will Smith, Alicia Keys, LeBron James, Miley Cyrus, Metallica, Seth MacFarlane and more.
