The Captain of Country Music, Dierks Bentley, recently took fans on a little ride airplane ride, and it was kind of like a real-life “Top Gun” experience. Kind of.

With the background music of Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone,” Bentley posted a video of his flight landing at LaGuardia Airport in New York City. Flying over the Hudson River, the plane does a circle-around motion before landing on the runway.

It’s a smooth ride with a nearly perfect landing– something we’d expect if you’re going to not only land a plane, but a classic pop-culture reference.

Bentley, who’s got his flying license and owns a plane, hopefully wasn’t drunk while flying this one. I wonder if he asked the tower for a fly-by.
