Dolly Parton Releases Black and White Video For New Version of “Jolene” [Watch]

Dolly Parton is releasing tracks and videos from her new project “Dumplin” and the black and white video for “Jolene” is her latest offering.

Dolly went back into the studio to re-record the popular hit, adding strings to the score. In the new version Dolly slows the tempo down and the strings act as a character in the movie, accelerating and falling back just at the right points.

In the video, Dolly can be seen in the studio with the string band as she performs her new version. The constant motion of the camera makes the viewer feel as if they are in the room and part of the action.
