Dolly Parton Enlists Miranda Lambert, Jennifer Aniston & Sia for “Dumplin'” Soundtrack

Dolly Parton has revealed the track listing and collaborations to the upcoming Netflix film “Dumplin'” and it’s a who’s who within the music and film community. Joining Dolly on the soundtrack are Sia, Elle King, Mavis Staples, Miranda Lambert, Willa Amai, Rhonda Vincent, Alison Krauss, Macy Gray, and Dorothy. “Dumplin’” stars Danielle Macdonald and Jennifer Aniston make cameo appearances on the soundtrack.

The soundtrack was produced by Linda Perry and will be released on Nov. 30. The film will be available for viewing on Netflix and select theaters on Dec. 7. Fans that pre-order the soundtrack beginning on Nov. 2 will receive an instant download of “Girl In The Movies,” which has garnered a nomination for Best Original Song from a Feature Film by the Hollywood Music In Media Awards.

The album’s first release is “Here I Am” featuring Sia. The song recently hit No.1 on the iTunes Country Songs and Top 10 all-genre following its release last month.

Screenwriter Kristin Hahn wrote the adaptation of Julie Murphy’s No. 1 New York Times bestselling novel “Dumplin'” which follows the teenage daughter (Danielle Macdonald) of former beauty queen (Jennifer Aniston). The daughter signs up for a similar pageant in Texas as a protest, which helps at “revolutionizing the pageant and their small Texas town,” a press release states. The film is directed by Anne Fletcher (“The Proposal,” “27 Dresses”) and stars Odeya Rush (“Lady Bird,” “Goosebumps”), Dove Cameron (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Liv and Maddie,” “Descendants”), and Harold Perrineau (“Claws,” “Lost”).
