Dolly Parton Guest Stars on Children’s Show, “Sprout House”

-

Dolly Parton recently released her first children’s album, I Believe in You, so it’s not surprising that the 71-year-old singer would appeal to the young set by appearing on a special episode of “Sprout House,” where she will perform some tracks from the album.

The singer took to Instagram to share the news. “Hi everyone! Come sing along with me on a special Sprout House, “A Day With Dolly,” premiering on Universal Kids TODAY at 11:05am/10:05am CT.”

The special episode has Dolly sharing the screen with host Carly and puppet Snug—a lovable puppy— featuring songs such as “A Friend Like You,” “Together Forever” and “You Can Do It.”

Of her children’s album, Dolly told One Country, “I think I’ve got a lot of good messages in there and I really think this day and time, the world is so crazy and dark, I think it’s very uplifting– even for the parents. I think the whole family might get a blessing out of it– or some joy.”

If you miss the original broadcast, you can still catch Dolly and her Sprout friends when the show re-airs on Wednesday, December 13 at 9:55am/10:55am CT and Thursday, December 14 at 9:55am/10:55am CT. The special will also be available on the Sprout YouTube channel beginning Thursday, December 14.
