Dustin Lynch is riding high with the response to his latest album, Current Mood. If that wasn’t enough, the singer got the news that his latest single, “Small Town Boy,” hit the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart.
“This week has truly been one of the most amazing and humbling of my career,” said Lynch. “This album is incredibly personal, and for two singles to already hit No. 1 is just crazy. I can’t think of a better way to welcome Current Mood than with ‘Small Town Boy’ being in the top spot.”
Lynch finds himself on a hot streak as “Small Town Boy” is his fifth consecutive No. 1 hit following “Seein’ Red,” “Mind Reader,” “Hell of a Night” and “Where It’s At (Yep, Yep).” The song, penned by Rhett Akins, Ben Hayslip and Kyle Fishman, is the second single from Lynch’s latest offering, Current Mood.
Lynch will continue promoting the new album, capping off the week with a Hurricane Harvey benefit show Tuesday (Sept. 12) at Cowboys Red River in Dallas and a return to ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” performing “Small Town Boy” on Thursday (Sept. 14).
You can also catch Lynch on the road when he kicks off The Ride Or Die Tour on Nov. 3 in Fayetteville, N.C. Michael Ray, LANCO, and Ryan Hurd will serve as opening acts.
