Eddie Montgomery’s wife, Jennifer, has spoken out following the death of Montgomery’s partner, Troy Gentry. Following Gentry’s memorial service last week, Jennifer thanked friends for their support.
Jennifer, who wed Montgomery in 2014, took to social media on behalf of herself and her husband, using the pronoun “We,” thanking those who have helped get the couple through this difficult time.
“We want to thank you for the outpouring of love, comfort, and prayers. Friends like you have helped us get through his difficult time,” she said in her first post since Sept. 1. Understandably, Montgomery himself has yet to make a statement on the death of his close friend.
Prior to Gentry’s death, the duo was set to release a new album in early 2018. No word yet on whether plans for the album are still in effect but a new single, “Better Me” was released sooner than anticipated with Gentry taking lead on vocals.
Our hearts go out to all those affected by the loss of Troy Gentry
