As Eric Church plowed through a 42-song set inside of Nashville Bridgestone Arena, where he also set an attendance record, he found time to pay tribute to one of his musical heroes– Gregg Allman.

Allman died on Saturday, May 27th and Church shared the stage with the Southern rock icon several times. Church launched into “Midnight Rider” without any introduction or words about Allman. It was the perfect way to honor the man who gave so many songs to the world– with a song.
